Manufacturing Specialist

About the role

DuPont is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist to transform raw materials into finished Vespel® products according to production schedules. The role offers hands‑on experience in press operation, machining, and final inspection within a safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support operations in safety, quality, continuous improvement, personnel, and supply‑chain initiatives.
• Perform press setup and operation, including tooling installation/removal, material handling, and process documentation.
• Carry out machining activities such as turning, milling, coring, and machine setup.
• Study work orders, prints, material specifications, and machining parameters.
• Troubleshoot and rework machined parts when required.
• Operate ovens and related processes, including cycle verification and documentation.
• Conduct final inspection and release of finished parts.
• Perform basic maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain shift‑to‑shift communication and documentation.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous‑improvement activities while complying with 5S requirements.

Required profile

• Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or equivalent engineering qualification (Material Science, Mechanical, Mechatronic/Electromechanical, Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding).
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferably a technician specializing in Mechanical/Automotive engineering or Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding.
