About the role
Greenlyzer is looking for a Materials Scientist to drive the development of next‑generation polymer and membrane materials for advanced electrochemical and energy‑transition applications. The role combines deep expertise in polymer chemistry, membrane engineering, and structure‑property relationships with hands‑on experience in AI/ML‑enabled materials informatics to accelerate discovery, optimisation, and scale‑up.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the technical strategy for advanced polymer and membrane material development.
- Design polymer architectures, synthesis pathways, functionalisation strategies, and structure‑property optimisation approaches.
- Guide rapid material iteration, characterisation, and performance validation activities.
- Drive membrane fabrication and process scale‑up, including coating, casting, lamination, and process optimisation.
- Apply AI/ML, statistical modelling, or materials informatics for predictive material development and formulation optimisation.
- Develop modern data‑driven R&D methodologies that integrate experimental and computational workflows.
- Support technical problem‑solving, failure analysis, IP generation, and long‑term technology roadmap development.
- Mentor and guide multidisciplinary R&D teams across chemistry, materials science, and process engineering.
Required profile
- Post‑graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of industrial or advanced applied R&D experience in polymers, membranes, coatings, or advanced functional materials.
- Strong expertise in polymer chemistry, membrane materials, and structure‑property engineering.
