Mechanical Design Engineer / Designer

About the role

ICE Services and Solutions is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer/Designer to support the planning, design, engineering and delivery of building services projects, covering ACMV, fire protection, plumbing and related MEP works from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering design for ACMV, fire protection, smoke control, ventilation, plumbing, sanitary and industrial utility systems, including calculations, equipment sizing and selections.
• Develop conceptual, schematic, detailed and tender designs, produce engineering reports, technical specifications and bills of quantities.
• Create and coordinate AutoCAD drawings, Revit MEP and BIM models, conduct clash detection and ensure compliance with Singapore building regulations.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities, attend coordination meetings, conduct site inspections and support testing and commissioning.
• Prepare design basis reports, calculations, method statements, equipment schedules and other technical documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or Diploma with relevant experience).
• 3–8 years of experience in building services engineering, including ACMV, fire protection and plumbing design.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP and BIM software.
• Experience with duct sizing, pipe sizing and hydraulic modelling tools.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office Suite.
