Mechanical Engineer - Automation Machines

About the role

PSB Technologies Pte. Ltd. is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in Singapore to design and develop high-speed, high-precision automatic machines and systems. The role covers machine troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, project coordination and team management.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high speed/high precision automatic machines and systems to specifications.
• Handle machine troubleshooting, alignment, testing, installation and commissioning.
• Manage automation projects to meet cost, schedule and specification requirements.
• Provide work instructions, technical information and guidance to technicians.
• Prepare mechanical equipment and materials requisitions and ensure procurement matches specifications.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimise project lead time and coordinate with third-party system integrators or suppliers.
• Calibrate machines and test machines before delivery to the customer.
• Manage the project team and schedule.

Required profile

• Diploma, advanced diploma or degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience designing automation equipment.
• Ability to turn requirements into concepts and design automation equipment.
• Willingness to travel overseas for work installation when required.

Required skills

• 3D software such as AutoCAD and Unigraphics (preferred)
• Good knowledge of trimming tool design is advantageous
• Project management experience is advantageous
