Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of mechanical maintenance activities for critical plant equipment. This role ensures compliance with terminal standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices while driving reliability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update mechanical maintenance plans, schedules, PM checklists, method statements and risk assessments.
• Oversee troubleshooting, repair, commissioning and replacement of BOG compressors, cryogenic pumps, marine loading arms, storage tanks and pressure vessels.
• Supervise contractors, vendors and in‑house technicians, providing coaching and ensuring safe work practices.
• Analyse equipment performance data, identify anomalies and recommend reliability improvements.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, manage manpower deployment and support spare‑parts inventory control.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, participate in vendor evaluations and assist with budget forecasting and expenditure monitoring.
• Participate in emergency response procedures and assume assigned roles as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of mechanical maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity, preferably in oil & gas or petrochemical environments.
• Hands‑on experience with rotating equipment, reciprocating compressors, engines, piping and valves.
• Knowledge of local codes, regulatory standards and equipment inspection schedules.
• Physical fitness to take part in emergency response duties.
