Mechanical Project Engineer – Design to CQV (Pharma)

About the role

PES International is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead mechanical engineering projects for the life‑sciences sector. The role covers the full project lifecycle from detailed design through to commissioning and qualification in a pharmaceutical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver mechanical projects from concept to commissioning.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, vendors and clients to meet project milestones.
• Review mechanical designs, specifications, drawings and technical documentation for compliance.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, risks and resource allocation.
• Manage procurement activities, including technical bid evaluation and vendor coordination.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates and technical documentation for stakeholders.
• Support handover, close‑out activities and post‑implementation performance reviews.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Design Qualification (DQ), Installation/Operational Qualification (IOQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ) during commissioning.
• Mechanical design review and documentation.
• Procurement and vendor coordination.
• Installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
