Merchant Acquisition Executive

About the role

EPOS, a leading POS digital solutions provider in Singapore, is looking for a highly driven Merchant Acquisition Executive to expand its merchant network. This field‑based role involves frequent visits to retail, F&B and service businesses to introduce EPOS solutions and secure new sign‑ups.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, identify, and acquire new merchants through active field sales and canvassing.
• Conduct regular physical visits to retail shops, F&B outlets, and service providers to generate sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline via cold calling, walk‑ins, referrals, networking and market research.
• Understand merchants' business requirements and recommend suitable EPOS products and solutions.
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to prospective merchants.
• Negotiate commercial terms and close sales opportunities effectively.
• Manage the end‑to‑end sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding and account activation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and merchant onboarding.
• Maintain accurate sales records, pipeline updates and activity reports within CRM systems.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities and merchant needs.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in sales, business development, merchant acquisition or field sales (fresh graduates with strong communication skills are welcome).
• Comfortable with outdoor fieldwork and frequent face‑to‑face merchant visits.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and target‑driven.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
