Merchant Sales Executive, GrabMart & GrabPay

About the role

Grab is Southeast Asia's leading superapp, and its Commercial team in Singapore oversees and grows the merchant business. As a Merchant Sales Executive for GrabMart and GrabPay, you will join the Merchant Acquisition team and help connect Singapore customers with a wide range of merchants. The role reports onsite at the Singapore office to the Manager, Non ACE Sales & Ads, and focuses on driving revenue growth by acquiring, onboarding and managing a client portfolio aligned with bi-monthly targets.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as product expert for all GrabMart and GrabPay matters.
• Meet, pitch and lead negotiations with assigned and prospective merchant leads to acquire and onboard them.
• Market Grab's value proposition as the preferred partner for merchants and build lasting partnerships.
• Manage merchant performance and contribution to the Grab merchant network, and stay accountable for their activity and engagement during onboarding.
• Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity to shape strategies that meet merchant needs.
• Handle daily merchant queries (commercial and operational) and ensure a smooth onboarding and post-onboarding process.
• Work with the Account Management Team and other verticals (e.g. Phoenix, GrabAds, Partnerships) to align and cross-sell.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in sales, business development or a similar role, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
• Experience pitching to and partnering with merchants to secure agreements.
• Ability to analyse sales data and use insights to inform strategy.
