Negotiator / Legal Consultant – Derivatives & Securities Financing Documentation

About the role

Axiom is seeking experienced negotiators/legal consultants to support a Fortune 500 financial services client with derivatives and securities financing documentation. The role involves working on complex agreements such as ISDA, GMRA and GMSLA across various transaction types.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and finalize documentation for derivatives, repos, securities lending and financing trades (e.g., ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA, Pledge GMSLA, local annexes).
• Support the structuring and documentation of new financial products.
• Review and improve custodian, triparty and collateral arrangements, highlighting risks and proposing practical fixes.

Required profile

• 3–10+ years of experience negotiating complex financial documentation in a bank, broker, asset manager or law firm.
• Legal qualification or bar admission is welcome but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience with at least one of the following: ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA or Pledge GMSLA.
