Network Engineer

About the role

The Network Engineer will support and maintain Wesco’s LAN, WAN and wireless infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability for end‑users. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the network environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN/Wireless networks using dedicated tools.
• Configure, install and support switches, routers, access points, VPN and data‑center equipment.
• Collaborate with users, consultants, vendors and technical teams to select and deploy network hardware and software.
• Provide 24/7 network support and act as primary troubleshooter for LAN/WAN issues.
• Document network configurations, procedures and project details.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions aligned with corporate needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with Cisco switching, routing and wireless technologies.
• Experience with EIGRP, BGP, MPLS and cloud‑based services.
• Knowledge of Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K and 2K platforms.
• CCNA routing and switching certification preferred.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
