Night Shift Build Operations Manager

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Night Shift Build Operations Manager in Singapore. The role supervises and leads a team of production employees, prioritizes production schedules and drives Lean, Safety and Quality improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, motivate, direct, develop and train a team of production employees, assigning work and setting priorities
• Provide technical expertise and managerial leadership, and communicate daily crossovers and build/test issues across Manufacturing
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and materials requirements
• Lead operational meetings, set up consistent processes and align tactical and strategic plans
• Develop and track performance metrics to improve cycle time, schedule milestone meetings and respond quickly to operations issues affecting customer satisfaction
• Act as an interface for customer and vendor requirements, prepare cost-of-quality analyses and initiate corrective action
• Prevent accidents and injuries, ensure all employees (including temporary staff) receive environmental, health and safety training, and monitor compliance with safety policies
• Manage personnel development, performance management, hiring, rewards and discipline
• Analyze production capacity, implement and monitor data collection and reporting, and identify process and quality improvements

Required profile

• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, work in tight spaces, lift and use hand and power tools
• Ability to work in a noisy environment and in a clean room, possibly wearing PPE such as coveralls, hoods, boots, safety glasses, gloves, respirators and face shields
• Understanding of Applied Materials' global Standards of Business Conduct and ethical behaviour
