Night Shift Operations Management Manager

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Night Shift Operations Management Manager in Singapore. The role supervises employees involved in production and operation functions such as assembly, inspection, test and final test, supporting the manufacturing of capital equipment and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Set daily team priorities, develop work schedules and assign tasks
• Develop and execute action plans using shift handoffs and designated operations reviews
• Organize and run team meetings such as pre-shift and safety meetings
• Help track performance metrics and improve cycle time and other metrics
• Coordinate service and customer groups to obtain resources needed to meet production schedules
• Eliminate safety incidents, improve equipment efficiency and build leadership and morale on the line
• Assist in training and career development and manage performance management
• Manage hiring, rewards and discipline processes
• May help develop the budget, forecast manpower needs and overhead costs
• Identify process and quality improvements, drive Lean, Safety and Quality, and take corrective action

Required profile

• Understanding of guidelines, procedures and processes in the job family
• Ability to supervise day-to-day work and coach and develop employees
• Use of judgment to resolve production schedule and priority issues
• Understanding of how the team is affected by upstream work of other teams
• Compliance with Applied Materials' global Standards of Business Conduct

The position may require standing for long periods, walking, working in tight spaces, lifting and using hand and power tools. Because it may involve a clean room, personal protective equipment such as coveralls, hoods, boots, safety glasses, gloves, respirators and face shields may be required. The role is full time, regular and not eligible for relocation.
