About the role

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP is establishing its Singapore office and seeks an experienced Office Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations, support the firm’s partners and drive the office’s growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead all business operations for the Singapore office, including strategic and operational planning.
  • Manage office infrastructure, leasing, space planning, construction projects and real‑estate strategy.
  • Serve as primary contact for local regulatory matters and ensure compliance with the Law Society and other authorities.
  • Oversee payroll, banking, reconciliation processes and coordinate with external corporate secretarial services.
  • Partner with the Business Development team to plan and execute client events, managing vendors and logistics.
  • Drive risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery and emergency planning.
  • Collaborate with the Asia HR team on recruitment, onboarding, off‑boarding and employee queries.
  • Adapt global firm policies to local legal requirements and monitor best practices in professional services management.
  • Manage administrative staff, fostering a high‑performance, client‑focused culture.

Required profile

  • Proven experience managing office operations in a professional services or legal environment.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives, real‑estate projects and event coordination.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, working closely with partners, finance, HR and external vendors.
  • Ability to develop and implement efficient operating models and risk‑management frameworks.
