Officer, Wagering Control (Operations Lead)

About the role

Singapore Pools, a not-for-profit organisation established in 1968 to provide safe and trusted betting against illegal gambling, is hiring an Officer, Wagering Control (Operations Lead). Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the role ensures racing events are created promptly and accurately in the Betting Control Management System (BMCS) so that bets can be sold.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out pre-raceday operations such as creating events and loading meetings in BMCS, the corporate website, the Web Portal and IWIN.
• Coordinate with overseas partners on the materials needed for event creation and meeting loading, so that racing information arrives on time.
• Maintain racing information and totalisator statistics in department shared storage, the corporate website, the Web Portal, IWIN and SharePoint.
• Assist in user acceptance tests and handle part-timer problems, enquiries and disputes.

Required profile

• G.C.E. 'A' Level (with credit in English Language), preferably with a Diploma.
• Five years of relevant experience, preferably three years of supervisory experience.
• Supervisory skills in handling part-timers.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fairly confident with computer systems such as MS Word and Excel.
