Oil Operator - Fuel/Gas Oil Logistics

About the role

Trafigura is looking for an Oil Operator in Singapore to support commercial physical fuel/gas oil logistics operations and trader support. The role co-ordinates post-deal trading activity so that contracts are executed smoothly, provides market information to the trader, coordinates shipping and logistics, and may support other product desks in the future.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operational execution of oil trades from recap to completion, including STS transfers, storage movements and blending activities.
• Coordinate closely with traders, charterers, agents, surveyors and counterparties to ensure smooth cargo execution.
• Optimise operational plans, manage costs and identify operational risks early to ensure efficient and timely trade completion.
• Provide commercial and market information to the trader as needed.
• Assist in researching new business opportunities.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of operational experience in oil trading, including fuel or gas oil cargo execution.
• Experience in blending is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented, organised and reliable; able to work collaboratively and handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible, able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
