Operation Quality Engineer – Manufacturing Quality

About the role

This position is responsible for ensuring daily quality performance of laser printer products. The engineer will work closely with manufacturing teams to monitor, analyse and improve production quality, drive timely issue resolution and support continuous‑improvement initiatives. The role also coordinates engineering quality activities for new products, partnering with regional and core teams to implement the Quality Assurance Plan and establish quality and test objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily factory quality metrics and lead containment actions for any deviations.
• Track and report quality‑related performance metrics.
• Partner with factory teams to reduce audit failure rates and improve end‑of‑line yield.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead monthly factory quality reviews with external partners and conduct regular quality audits.
• Support New Product Integration builds through quality audits and design reviews.
• Collaborate with R&D and supply‑chain on engineering changes impacting factory operations.
• Promote Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen initiatives to optimise processes.
• Lead special projects addressing technical or business challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical/Electrical, Electronics Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 4‑7 years of experience in quality assurance, reliability or a related field (or 3‑5 years with an advanced degree).
• Preferred certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma.
