Operations Executive - Marine / Aquaculture

About the role

A client celebrating its 60th anniversary, founded in 1956, with headquarters in Japan and focused on pump technology and the shipbuilding industry, is hiring an Operations Executive in Central, Singapore. The role covers the end-to-end sales process, customer relationships and shipping documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and follow through the entire sales process, from quotation and order processing to delivery arrangements and invoicing.
• Follow up on sales enquiries and quotations and work towards sales targets.
• Manage relationships with new and existing customers and monitor payment schedules, chasing outstanding invoices.
• Prepare full sets of shipping documentation such as delivery orders, packing lists and invoices.
• Liaise with freight forwarders on shipping arrangements and be familiar with shipping Incoterms.
• Assist in preparing sales reports, attend exhibitions and complete other ad-hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5-6 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience in order processing and in preparing full sets of shipping documentation.
• Familiarity with shipping Incoterms.
• Proficiency in Japanese to liaise with the Japan HQ and Japanese-speaking stakeholders.
• Positive, self-motivated, able to multi-task, with good interpersonal and communication skills.

What we offer

• Permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm.
• Working location Raffles Place, Singapore.
• Annual salary of SGD 3,500 to 4,500.
