Operations Manager, Cycle 1 & 2

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is looking for an Operations Manager for Cycle 1 & 2 at its Singapore site. The role is onsite and covers capacity planning, resource optimization, team leadership and continuous improvement within a clearly defined area of responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Drive capacity planning and set daily operational objectives, assigning tasks to teams to meet production targets and service standards
• Manage resources to achieve Turnaround Time (TAT), On-Time Delivery (OTD) and financial objectives
• Ensure workforce competence through structured training and development, and track productivity including SAP hour management, overtime control and reduction of non-productive time
• Focus on employee welfare, career development, training access and engagement
• Act as the operations point of contact for cross-functional requests and issues, and give primary input on hiring, firing, promotion, performance and rewards decisions for direct reports
• Harmonize CORE deployment standards, share best practice across functions and contribute to annual CORE improvement roadmaps
• Collaborate with site leadership, Safety, Quality, Engineering and Operations, and develop KPI dashboards tracking OEE, cost, quality and delivery
• Sponsor and lead continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events, maintain the control tower and execute improvement plans with CORE tools

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Production Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience, or a Diploma in Engineering with at least 8 years of aviation experience
• Experience in aircraft engine workshop practices and maintenance and repair of gas turbine engines is advantageous
• Analytical, with strong leadership, supervisory, communication and interpersonal skills
• Preferred: CORE Champion certification, strong knowledge of CORE and continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma/ACE), and technical experience in Engine MRO or the aerospace industry

Required skills

• Knowledge of the RTX CORE operating system (required)
• Prior experience in an MRO shop highly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP systems
