Operations Shift Supervisor - Heavy Duty Rotor Repair Cell

About the role

GE Vernova Singapore Services is looking for an Operations Shift Supervisor for its Heavy Duty Gas Turbine rotor repair operations. The role reports directly to the Senior Operations Manager within the Rotor Repair Cell and covers daily repair operations, SQDC performance and operational excellence through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage rotor repair operations according to takt-based production schedules, supervise a team of technicians, run toolbox meetings and DMS reviews, and escalate issues via Andon systems.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and variability, and promote a problem-solving culture.
• Ensure EHS compliance, enforce Life Saving Rules, conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, and take part in Gemba walks and Layered Process Reviews.
• Enforce quality standards and ISO 9001 compliance, lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues with Maintenance, monitor equipment performance and support preventive maintenance.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with team lead or supervisory responsibilities.
• Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance or similar technical operations is preferred.

Required skills

• Root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action systems.
• Knowledge of quality and safety standards, including ISO 9001 (and OHSAS 18001 or equivalent).
• Leadership, problem-solving, communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and respond to operational escalations.
