Operations Specialist - MIS and Reporting

About the role

Julius Baer is looking for an Operations Specialist to join its back-office operations in Operations Control, supporting the Singapore and Hong Kong booking centres. The role mainly supports the MIS and reporting function, handling data extracts, monthly management information and statistics, and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Handle data extract requests from Operations and prepare monthly management information and statistics reports
• Support data extracts for regulatory submissions, surveys and audits, and maintain static tables
• Prepare MIS reports and set up market rules
• Coordinate extracts and data for regulators and audits with internal partners and stakeholders
• Ensure timely submission of regulatory reports for OTC derivative products
• Approve trades from the pre-trade validation queue and support sub-account opening for trade processing and corporate actions
• Take part in user acceptance testing when required
• Carry out regulatory duties: act with honesty, integrity and due care, manage conflicts of interest, and ensure data is shared on a need-to-know basis with proper approval
• Complete mandatory training

Required profile

• Degree qualification and at least 2 years of relevant experience in banking or a related discipline
• Detail-oriented, with a risk and control mindset and ability to anticipate risks and implement mitigating controls
• Good communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels
• Integrity, initiative, teamwork and ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, macros and end-to-end knowledge of the private banking value chain
• Proficiency with tools for extracting data from various systems
• Experience with VBA and SQL is an advantage
