Optimization Planner (New College Graduate)

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring an Optimization Planner in Singapore for new college graduates. Key responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, convert them into functional and technical specifications, and analyze cross-functional solutions to meet complex needs.
• Perform big data analysis, derive actionable insights and implement them in production with several business functions.
• Propose optimal approaches with thorough impact quantification while reviewing business requirements.
• Solve complex problems, take a new perspective on existing solutions and exercise judgment based on multiple sources of information.
• Define control mechanisms to capture process anomalies and gaps using advanced analytics.
• Work with SAP and other internal organizational information systems.

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering.
• 0-1 years of experience in relevant fields.
• Ability to collaborate and lead complex interfaces without formal authority, and to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks and timelines independently.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, able to convey key messages to stakeholders and manage long-term projects with high-quality daily execution.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, C++ and SQL.
• Big data analysis and use of advanced analytics.
