Paralegal – Legal Support for National Heritage Board

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join the National Heritage Board’s Legal Division. The role reports to the Senior Legal Counsel and provides research, contract management and administrative support, including handling public queries on Singapore’s National Symbols.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations and case law.
• Review and proofread basic legal agreements such as MOUs, loan agreements, addendums, gift agreements and contest terms & conditions.
• Maintain and update files, documents and records of the Legal Division and collect statistical data for reporting.
• Provide administrative support including archiving, template creation, procurement of external legal services, liaising with external firms on invoicing and processing claims.
• Prepare presentation materials for internal and external meetings.
• Respond to public requests regarding the use of Singapore’s National Symbols.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Law, Legal Studies or Paralegal Studies.
• Approximately 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with commercial contract drafting and review.
• Experience handling government procurement matters is advantageous.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• A keen interest in the visual arts, museum and cultural heritage sector.
