Part-Time Lecturer in Translation and Localisation

About the role

The Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation (MTI) programme at NTU is seeking experienced part-time instructors to teach courses on translation, localisation, project and data management. Candidates should have a proven track record of practical experience working with corporations and clients at multinational, regional and local levels, and knowledge of modern project management tools and software is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Design the course syllabus
• Deliver lectures and hold student consultations
• Design assignments and administer assessments and grading
• Provide constructive feedback to support student learning

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in teaching and curriculum development in higher education
• A master's degree in Translation and Interpreting (T&I) and/or a postgraduate degree in project and data management
• Strong industry experience in translation project management is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to a diverse and inclusive learning environment
• Ability to use Chinese and English as the medium of instruction
• Willingness to start as soon as possible
