Part-Time Piano Teacher (Singapore)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate part‑time piano teacher to deliver one‑to‑one lessons to students of varying ages and levels at our boutique music school in Singapore. The role focuses on nurturing musical understanding, performance confidence, and exam preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct engaging and effective one‑to‑one piano lessons.
• Teach students from beginner to intermediate/advanced levels.
• Prepare students for ABRSM or Trinity examinations where applicable.
• Incorporate aural skills, music theory, and musical understanding into lessons.
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and students.
• Participate in school events such as recitals, masterclasses, and workshops.
• Maintain professionalism and punctuality in all lessons.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Music.
• Prior teaching experience is an advantage.
• Strong foundation in technique, musicality, and pedagogy.
• Familiarity with ABRSM or Trinity syllabus.
• Patient, responsible, and able to connect well with children and adults.
• Good communication skills.

Required skills

• Piano performance proficiency.
• Knowledge of the ABRSM syllabus.
• Knowledge of the Trinity syllabus.
