Part-time Sociology Lecturer

About the role

The School of Social Sciences at NTU is seeking experienced academics to join as part‑time lecturers in Sociology. You will support undergraduate learning by delivering tutorials, assessing student work and contributing to the overall teaching team.

Key responsibilities

• Attend scheduled lectures and coordinate with the Course Coordinator.
• Deliver tutorial sessions for Sociology modules such as Deviance and Society, Person and Society, Population and Society, and Statistics.
• Prepare, administer and grade assessments, including exams and coursework.
• Invigilate final examinations and ensure academic integrity.
• Respond to student enquiries related to course content and assessment.

Required profile

• At least a Master’s degree in Sociology or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution with strong teaching evaluations.
• Preference will be given to Singapore citizens or permanent residents.

Required skills

• Proficiency in teaching and assessing Sociology concepts.
• Ability to work with statistical material.
