Partner Risk Assessment Specialist

About the role

Wise is hiring a Partner Risk Assessment Specialist in Singapore to help ensure that Wise meets its regulatory and compliance obligations. The role covers onboarding and risk assessment of banks and online platforms that partner with Wise, including the Wise Platform, which lets financial institutions and large enterprises offer payment products through their own platforms. It sits within a cross-functional team spanning sales, account management, product, engineering, compliance and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Review partners' documentation, including KYC information and legal agreements, and carry out detailed due diligence on banks and online platforms against regulatory requirements, internal policies and industry standards.
• Document findings in compliance memos summarising potential risks, and assist in improving the compliance onboarding process.
• Manage the onboarding of banks and online platforms, keeping up with regulatory developments and maintaining strong relationships with partners.
• Evaluate and recommend monitoring controls based on the risks identified during onboarding.
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk Management and Business Development, and act as subject matter expert on Enterprise Due Diligence and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of financial services compliance experience, preferably at a bank, trading, payments or fintech institution.
• Proven experience onboarding large enterprises to financial platforms.
• Ability to document business processes and compliance measures clearly and precisely.

Required skills

• Investigation and business notation, with a focus on risk assessment and compliance documentation.
• Understanding of risk-based approaches, control design and implementation in Risk and Compliance.
