Patient Service Associate - Inpatient/BMU/UCC/AASC (2-Year Contract)

About the role

NUHS is hiring a Patient Service Associate for a 2-year contract covering its inpatient wards, Bed Management Unit (BMU), Urgent Care Centre (UCC) and Admissions and Service Centre (AASC). The role delivers friendly, efficient customer service to internal and external customers and patients, with the aim of providing excellent patient care and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Keep operational and procedural areas ready according to service standards
• Support the patient journey: accurate and timely registration, discharge, appointment bookings, cashiering and enquiries such as insurance provider information for billing
• Provide chaperone assistance to doctors and nurses and prepare consultation documents
• Handle requests, emails and phone enquiries
• Assist the clinic manager with administrative duties and perform other ad-hoc tasks

Required profile

• Preferably GCE 'N' Level and above
• Comfortable working in a hospital setting and in different clinics when needed
• Able to work in inpatient wards if required
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to speak a second language and prior experience in hospitality or service industries are advantages

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer skills; handling multiple systems is an advantage
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Working schedule

• Inpatient wards: 5 days a week, Monday to Saturday, 2 rotating AM (8am-5pm) and PM (11am-8pm) shifts, with Saturday and public holidays 8am-5pm
• BMU and UCC: 5 days a week, Monday to Sunday, 3 rotating shifts (AM 7.30am-3.30pm, PM 1.30pm-9.30pm, Night 9pm-8am)
• AASC: 5 days a week, Monday to Saturday, 2 rotating AM (8.30am-5.30pm) and PM (11am-8pm) shifts, with Saturday and public holidays 8.30am-5.30pm

The role is a 2-year contract, subject to extension or permanent conversion based on performance. Only Singapore citizens and Singapore permanent residents may apply.
