Patient Service Associate, Specialist Outpatient Clinic

About the role

The Patient Service Associate delivers friendly, efficient customer service and creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere for internal and external customers and patients, with the aim of providing excellent patient care and satisfaction. The role covers counter assistance, room assistance and patient engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Follow NUH Service Acts ("G.O.O.D") and clinic operations standards, handle patient feedback and escalate it to the Service Team Leader or Service Executive when needed.
• Register and screen patients accurately, ensure accurate billing and same-day payment collection, and keep the clinic ready 15 minutes before each appointment.
• Assist clinicians and therapists, coordinate first and follow-up appointments, manage wait times and clear the EPIC work queue on the same day.
• Engage patients in using kiosks and the NUHS mobile application, and follow clinic, department and hospital policies and procedures.
• Take on other tasks assigned by the clinic/nurse manager, service team leader or service executive, such as admin support and statistics, and take part in quality improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum "N" level holder with relevant healthcare experience; healthcare, service or related industry background preferred.
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
