Pharmacy Technician (NUHS@Home)

About the role

NUHS is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for its NUHS@Home programme. The incumbent supports the pharmacist in dispensing medications and related tasks, including counselling patients by telephone under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in processing medication orders for dispensing, including typing, packing, labelling and distribution of drug supplies.
• Perform billing functions and recover the cost and revenue of all stocks supplied, if required.
• Counsel medicines under the supervision of a pharmacist over tele-consultation.
• Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels of drugs in the area of work.
• Receive, unpack and check deliveries against the appropriate documents to ensure items are correct and accounted for.
• Perform stock receipts and issues strictly in FIFO order.
• Assist in providing quality customer service and help orient new staff assigned to the section.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the work areas and prepare them for daily operations.

Required profile

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science and relevant experience.
• Able to work staggered shifts.
• Able to work weekends (half day in the morning).
• May need to travel out of NUH to remote sites in the west.
