Planner and Control Specialist

About the role

Join Applied Materials as a Planner and Control Specialist, responsible for ensuring material availability and production efficiency through robust planning, inventory, and process control activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain SAP work order release schedule, perform pre‑shortage analysis and work order variance analysis.
• Review MRP execution, reconcile supply and demand, and validate master scheduling.
• Manage engineering change orders, prepare status reports, and participate in floor audits.
• Analyze usage data, forecast spare‑part needs, and handle inventory expediting and obsolescence.
• Conduct data analysis, create Tableau visualizations, and perform statistical or data‑mining tasks using Python or SQL.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in planning, inventory, or process control within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams, including engineers and finance, to resolve material and WIP issues.
• Experience leading small projects and acting as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues.
