Planning and Control Planner

About the role

Join Applied Materials in Singapore as a Planning and Control Planner, responsible for high‑complexity manufacturing scheduling and line performance management. You will work closely with product support, manufacturing, and R&D teams to ensure efficient production and capacity fulfillment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and control multi‑line manufacturing schedules, balancing business demand, material constraints and line capacity.
• Own tool configuration, slotting and NPMA (Non‑Pure Manufacturing Activities) approval and allocation.
• Design efficient production lines focusing on responsiveness, inventory levels and linear workload.
• Monitor and improve line KPIs such as OTD, EOP, cycle time and SOE.
• Support manufacturing capacity fulfillment and manage training period allocation.
• Act as primary contact for Product Support, field manufacturing activities, retrofit projects and R&D needs.

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge in manufacturing planning and control.
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to apply them to daily work.
• Informal guidance skills for new team members without formal supervisory responsibilities.
• Problem‑solving ability using technical experience and judgment.
• Impactful work quality within established guidelines and policies.
• Strong interpersonal skills to explain complex information clearly.
