Planning Manager – Engine & Module

About the role

The Planning Manager (Engine & Module) leads enterprise‑level planning and scheduling across the engine and module value stream. The role oversees a central planning team and coordinates maintenance, repair and overhaul activities across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the central Engine & Module Planning team, providing coaching and performance management.
• Establish, monitor and manage enterprise‑wide engine output plans to meet production targets.
• Analyse production performance, identify risks and bottlenecks, and implement recovery actions.
• Coordinate planning activities across operational sites to optimise resource utilisation.
• Facilitate daily Level 1 Production Meetings, Level 2 Escalation Meetings and weekly Level 3 Operational Pulse Reviews.
• Collaborate with Customer Business teams on Gate 0 planning and engine induction targets.
• Act as primary liaison with Rolls‑Royce Supplier Management and Overhaul Services teams.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration among operations, supply chain, engineering and support functions.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years experience in aerospace MRO with strong exposure to production planning or scheduling.
• Good understanding of aerospace engine overhaul processes (strip, inspection, repair, build).
• Proven experience leading teams and managing cross‑functional stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
