Platform Engineer - Data Exploration Platform Management

About the role

CSIT is looking for a Platform Engineer to manage and optimise its Data Exploration Platform, a solution that enables users to explore, visualise and interact with data. The role focuses on ensuring platform resiliency, security and performance while supporting data analytics and visualisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and maintain reliable, scalable and secure Data Exploration Platform solutions.
• Manage platform lifecycle including upgrades, patches, configuration changes and resource allocation.
• Optimise performance by troubleshooting data processing and query issues.
• Implement and enforce data access controls, authentication and authorization to ensure security and compliance.
• Provide technical expertise, training and guidance to stakeholders.
• Identify process improvements and apply industry best practices.

Required profile

• Background in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Good knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts and tools such as Python, R or SQL.
• Understanding of data modelling, architecture and quality principles.
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
