Podiatrist

About the role

The Podiatrist assists in managing a specialised workgroup and provides specialised assessment and treatment to patients referred for podiatry. The role also involves supporting the supervision of podiatrists deployed to the workgroup.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage referred patients independently, implement treatment plans and report to the referring doctor and the medical team
• Document podiatry records accurately and charge patients correctly
• Update performance statistics regularly and comply with clinical and service standards
• Assist in supervising podiatrists in the workgroup and practice within their area of competence
• Collaborate with colleagues, take part in case conferences and help prepare monthly performance reports
• Monitor key performance indicators such as clinical and service quality, revenue and productivity
• Co-lead clinical research projects, update therapy equipment inventory and review clinical protocols and SOPs
• Help manage workgroup projects, contribute to quality control and assist in developing and marketing new clinical services
• Support budgeting, clinical education for podiatry students, induction of new podiatrists and staff training
• Network with healthcare practitioners in NUH and keep podiatry knowledge and skills up to date

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Podiatry; postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical specialty preferred
• 4 years of relevant work experience preferred
• Good communication, interpersonal, supervisory and coaching skills
• Service-oriented, result-oriented, team player
• Only Singapore citizens and Singapore permanent residents may apply
