Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Immunology (Early‑life Innate Immunity)

About the role

Join the laboratory of Asst Prof Loh Jia Tong at NTU’s School of Biological Sciences as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow focusing on early‑life innate immune mechanisms in health and disease.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct independent immunology research projects.
• Perform and analyse high‑dimensional flow cytometry experiments.
• Develop and use murine models of infection and immune‑mediated disease.
• Isolate, culture and assay primary immune cells.
• Analyse single‑cell RNA‑seq datasets.
• Contribute to manuscripts, grant applications and present findings.
• Mentor junior researchers and foster a collaborative lab environment.

Required profile

• PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences or related field.
• Strong experimental background in immunology with good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• High‑dimensional flow cytometry and data analysis.
• Mouse experimentation and in‑vivo disease models.
• Primary immune cell isolation and culture.
• Single‑cell RNA‑sequencing data analysis.
• Experience with innate immunity, neutrophils and myeloid cells (advantage).
