Principal Architect Manager

About the role

Sembcorp Specialised Construction is seeking a Principal Architect Manager to lead its architectural team on complex building and infrastructure projects. The role combines design leadership, regulatory compliance, and construction oversight to deliver sustainable, high‑quality developments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the architectural team and coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants, engineers, and clients.
• Formulate project briefs, develop design concepts, and present solutions.
• Prepare and submit building plan clearances, ensuring compliance with URA, BCA, SCDF, PUB, NEA, LTA, NParks and other codes.
• Supervise and approve architectural drawings, shop drawings, and construction documents.
• Incorporate HSE considerations into designs and oversee tender queries related to compliance.
• Guide and mentor junior architects and associates.
• Handle contract and construction management, including TOP & CSC procedures and project handover.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture (minimum equivalent to RIBA Part 2).
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in architecture, design, and construction.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in BIM tools, especially Revit.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills.
• Experience with Corenet submission requirements.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (URA, BCA, SCDF, PUB, NEA, LTA, NParks).
• Ability to produce 3D model annotations and detailed 2D drawings.
• Familiarity with visualization software such as V‑Ray, Lumion, or Enscape (advantage).
