Principal BIM Manager / BIM Lead

About the role

Lead and manage the MEP BIM team to deliver high‑quality BIM outputs for complex, multidisciplinary projects. Develop and implement BIM strategies, standards and workflows that align with project requirements and Singapore regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall MEP BIM team, ensuring timely and quality delivery of BIM‑related project requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain BIM strategies, standards, workflows and project‑specific requirements.
• Plan, manage and maintain 3D BIM models and data, ensuring compliance with BIM execution standards.
• Produce and coordinate BIM models, general arrangement drawings, schedules and construction documentation.
• Provide BIM modelling, drafting and technical support to the Singapore MEP team.
• Collaborate with civil & structural, architectural and MEP disciplines across local and overseas project teams.
• Lead design coordination activities, conduct clash detection, prepare clash reports and facilitate coordination meetings.
• Liaise with engineers, project managers and authorities to prepare and submit drawings for approvals.
• Drive design optimisation and improve construction outcomes through BIM and VDC methodologies.
• Prepare and manage BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and promote innovation using advanced digital tools.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Building Services, BIM or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of MEP design and BIM coordination experience, preferably in a Singapore‑based consultancy.
• Proven track record as a BIM Leader or Manager on complex projects.
• Strong expertise in MEP design coordination, BIM modelling, clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination.
• In‑depth knowledge of Singapore MEP design practices, BIM standards and authority submission processes.
• Ability to manage multiple project priorities and work effectively within geographically dispersed teams.
• Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident preferred.
