Principal Component Validation Engineer - HBM

About the role

Micron is hiring a Principal Component Validation Engineer for its Heterogeneous Integration Group. The engineer helps enable Micron's products with flawless, issue-free releases to internal and external customers, working with a team of engineers who solve complex problems.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal and external teams on preparation for silicon and work with manufacturing teams to ensure resources are available.
• Identify and validate HBM component validation equipment and testing flows, and debug and root-cause failures.
• Implement design or process fixes for failed parts and work with DV and QA teams on customer returns to identify new tests.
• Partner with the Global Quality Team on reliability, and work with engineering, manufacturing and marketing.
• Create and deliver presentations, attend meetings, and troubleshoot, develop or validate HBM component validation testing programs.
• Evaluate data sheets and give feedback to application engineers, and provide technical training and OJT for new engineers.
• Act as product-specific point of contact, attend technical seminars, and share AI-enabled improvements within your scope.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree and at least 10 years of experience, preferably in the memory semiconductor industry, with a mix of hardware and software skills.
• Proven experience programming with Linux, Python/C/C++, Verilog, UVM and version control systems (Git, SVN).
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills, teamwork, communication, data analytics and presentation skills.
• Basic understanding of HBM and/or DRAM operations and computer networking.
