Principal Engineer, ATCQE

About the role

Micron is hiring a Principal Engineer, ATCQE, at its Fab 10A facility. The role combines quality management system (QMS) documentation governance with subject-matter expertise in iQCP deployment, business process improvement and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive QMS documentation governance across Assembly & Test, including procedures, specifications, work instructions, best-known methods and quality templates, and establish document control for compliance, consistency and traceability.
• Partner with site quality teams to harmonize quality documents across global manufacturing sites and drive continuous improvement of documentation.
• Serve as Business Unit SME for iQCP deployment, translating business requirements into AI agent use cases and digital workflow solutions, and supporting pilots, deployment, training and sustainment.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual quality workflows and shorten cycle time, improve accuracy and support better decision-making.
• Analyze quality workflows, standardize across sites, and support digital dashboards, reporting and self-service analytics.
• Develop performance metrics and KPIs, and collaborate with Global Quality Engineering, site quality teams, SMAI/IT and business process owners on workshops and requirements gathering.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Systems, Manufacturing Operations, Process Excellence or Process/Equipment Engineering.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferred: semiconductor manufacturing experience, knowledge of quality methodologies, digital transformation or workflow automation, familiarity with Generative AI, AI agents or RAG-based solutions, Power BI dashboard development, and project and change management experience.
