About the role
GlobalFoundries is looking for a Principal Engineer in Equipment Engineering for its 200mm CVD equipment. The role maintains and supports equipment readiness, working either as an individual contributor or as a manager.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and support equipment readiness, as an individual contributor or as a manager
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of equipment
- Carry out maintenance and tool support to ensure equipment readiness
- Troubleshoot and upgrade equipment to minimise downtime
- Analyse and monitor technical charts
- Drive equipment improvement plans and projects
- Follow good safety practices and proper custody of tools, equipment and other property
- Support Environmental, Health, Safety and Security requirements
- Collaborate on other projects and assignments as needed
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in equipment engineering, preferably in wafer fab manufacturing or electronics
- Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
- Willingness to work normal and swing shifts
