Principal Engineer - HBM PE Component Validation (Singapore)

About the role

Micron is looking for a Principal Engineer for HBM PE component validation in Singapore. As a senior technical authority, you will own complex validation scopes, optimize test flows and lead technical problem solving for next-generation HBM products, driving coverage completeness, detection efficiency and product readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end validation runs in a fast-paced environment, with risk-aware re-plans and efficient IQP/ETV material use.
• Own time-bound data pipelines (log parsing, metrics aggregation, anomaly ranking) and deliver summary reports and sightings by agreed cycle time.
• Ensure coverage completeness across MBIST and flows, including Hot/Cold corners, TSV screen/AQLK and async timing boundary coverage.
• Develop and debug test programs on SM3/Cobra and Advantest V93K, enforce code quality and reviews, and align hardware configurations to test intent and throughput.
• Perform power/thermal characterization and run Verilog simulations (bench, stimulus, checkers, waveforms) to validate hypotheses and de-risk content changes.
• Build automation scripts and dashboards for anomaly detection, trend analysis and coverage auditing.
• Lead silicon debug across Design, Verification, Quality and System Engineering, implement cycle-time optimization and contribute to DFMEA gap closure.
• Mentor junior engineers and partner with global teams (Boise, Folsom, Hyderabad, Taiwan).
• Use AI to streamline workflows and support data-driven decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related).
• 10+ years in DRAM/HBM/NAND validation or product engineering, with at least 2 years of HBM validation experience.
• Proven ability to run ValRuns and perform high-speed I/O validation with eye/IDD characterization.

Required skills

• Test platform code in C/C++, Python and APG (Algorithmic Pattern Generator)
• MBIST (SM3/Cobra) and Mode (Advantest V93K) testing
• Verilog simulation and Verilog scripting
• Advanced scripting and data analytics; Confluence/Jira and Git/Perforce
