Principal Engineer / MTS - RFSOI Device Engineering

About the role

GlobalFoundries is hiring a Principal Engineer / MTS for its RFSOI device engineering team. The role leads the development, optimization, characterization and qualification of semiconductor devices to meet performance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute and analyze DOE experiments and interpret their results
• Partner with process integration engineers to improve device performance
• Work with TCAD engineers to predict device results
• Own and drive technical device problem solving
• Interact with internal and external customers and respond to technical queries
• Establish new technology design rules, test structures and test methodologies
• Innovate new methods of continuous device improvement
• Perform all activities safely and responsibly, supporting EHS and security requirements

Required profile

• Degree, Master's or PhD in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• More than 5 years of relevant experience for PhD holders, more than 8 years for degree or Master's holders
• Wafer fab device engineering ownership experience is required, preferably in RF devices
• Preferred: strong semiconductor device physics, RF fundamentals (S-parameters, harmonics, noise figure), and RF on-wafer measurement and test equipment setup experience (probers, semiconductor device analyzers, network analyzers)
• Independent, resourceful, with excellent analytical, optimization and interpersonal skills and a positive attitude toward continuous learning
