Principal Industry Solution Engineer – Insurance

About the role

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Industry Solution Engineer to lead advisory and solution delivery for insurance customers throughout the pre‑sales cycle. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating business objectives into actionable recommendations and accelerating deals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage enterprise insurance organisations, conducting discovery sessions and workshops to understand challenges and goals.
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives and key decision‑makers across business and technology.
• Develop and present innovative custom solutions that align with business value and Salesforce benefits.
• Coordinate the full solution cycle, collaborating with technical and business resources.
• Travel occasionally to engage with customers and partners.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven track record delivering differentiated custom solutions and presentations to senior stakeholders.
• Strong desire to set vision, translate objectives into recommendations, and accelerate deals.
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to influence senior executives.

Required skills

• Salesforce platform expertise.
• Understanding of Cloud Computing, SFA, Service & Support, Marketing and Mobile solutions.
• Knowledge of relational databases and web technologies.
• Familiarity with Design Thinking, consulting methodologies and enterprise architecture.
