Principal Specialist, Global People Services (HR)

About the role

Micron's PROX team within Global People Services & Solutions (GPSS) is a centralized, digital-first capability focused on AI, productivity and employee experience. This Principal Specialist is a hands-on individual contributor who strengthens the technical execution of GPSS 3.0, working with the Director, PROX Lead and Principal Specialist. The role turns HR process expertise, project delivery and technical solutioning into build-ready packages for IT, Workforce AI, ServiceNow, Workday, Power Platform, UiPath and other platform teams, moving automation initiatives from concept to adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Design automation-ready workflows, requirements, rules, triggers, controls and exceptions, recommending ServiceNow, Workday, Power Automate, UiPath, Copilot Studio, Power BI or a hybrid approach
• Create AI-ready process guides and handoffs, including user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, test cases and solution packs, and set AI guardrails for privacy, payroll risk and audit exposure
• Support priority recruit-to-retire processes, improve pilot readiness and UAT, and track decisions, blockers, testing and benefits through delivery
• Specify data fields, source systems, validation rules, event-driven flows and API, file, RPA and vendor portal dependencies
• Develop UAT scripts, test data, defect logs, readiness checklists and hypercare trackers, coordinate pilots and support go-live and sustainment
• Lead project teams, facilitate discovery and design sessions, coach team members and prepare recommendations and decision papers for leadership

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Operations, Technology, Analytics, Information Systems or a related discipline
• Typically over 15 years of global or regional experience supporting HR services, transformation or technology-enabled process improvement across multiple countries, sites or stakeholder groups
• Proven stakeholder management and experience leading project teams or cross-functional initiatives through hands-on solution delivery
• Strong facilitation skills across HR, IT, AI, automation, data, security, compliance and vendor teams, and ability to handle confidential employee data

Required skills

• Knowledge of hire-to-retire processes and practical experience with Workday, ServiceNow HRSD, M365, SharePoint and Teams
• Hands-on design, configuration and testing of Power Automate flows, UiPath RPA, and design of Copilot Studio or similar agents
• Working knowledge of APIs, connectors, webhooks, Dataverse, structured lists, source-to-target mapping and validation rules
• Ability to use Power BI, SQL or equivalent tools to assess process performance and automation value
