About the role
Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is offering a full-time Process Engineer internship in Singapore. The project focuses on the systematic development and optimization of CVD process recipes and settings to improve film properties such as thickness, uniformity and stress, while maximizing throughput and minimizing waste.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze current process limitations with the engineering team
- Design targeted experiments to optimize CVD process recipes and settings
- Refine process parameters to establish a robust, repeatable deposition recipe
- Improve film properties (thickness, uniformity and stress) while maximizing throughput and minimizing waste
Required profile
- Intern or student
- Familiarity with thin-film deposition concepts, vacuum systems or semiconductor manufacturing processes
- Strong analytical mindset
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to laboratory safety protocols
Required skills
- Exposure to statistical data analysis or DoE software (e.g. JMP)
- CVD process knowledge
