Process Engineering Engineer

About the role

GlobalFoundries is a full-service semiconductor foundry offering design, development and fabrication services. As a Process Engineering Engineer, you will develop, optimize and maintain manufacturing processes to meet quality, efficiency and safety standards. You will create and review technical documentation, set up SOPs and FMEA, and work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality and reliability standards.
• Create, analyze and review technical charts to support process characterization, data interpretation and performance tracking.
• Establish SOPs and carry out FMEA to build robust, well-documented and risk-mitigated processes.
• Review product development requirements against existing or proposed processing methods, including cost, resources and schedule.
• Integrate equipment and material capabilities so process modules match technology specifications and remain scalable and manufacturable.
• Drive Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP) to improve process performance indices.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver organizational and project goals, and take on additional projects as required.
• Perform all work safely and in line with Environmental, Health, Safety and Security requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience related to process engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, able to work across functions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to safe work practices and EHS standards.

Required skills

• Fundamental understanding of process development, optimization and quality control.
• Basic knowledge of SOP creation, FMEA or other quality/risk-management frameworks.
• Ability to analyze data, interpret technical charts and use basic engineering tools.
