Process/Equipment Engineer - Semiconductor Foundry (SEA 2026)

About the role

GlobalFoundries, a full-service semiconductor foundry, is hiring an Engineer (Process/Equipment) for its Southeast Asia site in 2026. Candidates are assessed for either the Associate Engineer (Equipment Engineering) or Associate Engineer (Process Engineering) role depending on their experience and qualifications. Both positions require working 12-hour rotating shifts to support silicon wafer manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Equipment Engineers: maintain and support equipment readiness through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrades, execute ongoing maintenance and tool support, monitor and analyse technical charts, drive equipment improvement projects and follow safety practices.
• Process Engineers: run SPC/ESPC analysis, yield and variation reduction and quality system execution, including SPC chart and OOC analysis with SPACE, PR rules, Cp/Cpk, DOE, split-lot, ET and yield analysis with JMP and Klarity ACE, and creation and maintenance of SPC charts, DCOPs, SLDB and recipe compliance (PROMIS, RMS).
• Drive quality processes such as PCRB, MRB, 8D, ECN and TS16949 compliance, start up and qualify new processes and equipment, perform R&R studies and resolve complex module and integration issues.
• Lead improvement projects to reduce OOC and improve Cpk, work with Equipment and Manufacturing engineers on uptime and OEE goals, lead cross-functional yield and excursion task teams, benchmark best practices across fabs and coach and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics and Microelectronics Engineering.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Good team player.
