Procurement & Supply Chain Lead

About the role

VFlowTech is seeking a proactive Procurement & Supply Chain Lead to strengthen its supply chain for vanadium redox flow battery systems. The role combines strategic sourcing with hands‑on execution, supporting cross‑border freight operations across Asia and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities, including cost analysis, supplier negotiations and contract management.
• Identify, qualify and onboard new suppliers for flow‑battery and energy‑storage components.
• Conduct supplier due‑diligence, audits, compliance checks and financial assessments.
• Establish performance metrics and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality and reliability.
• Supervise quality inspections of critical components before shipment.
• Manage freight operations and logistics planning on China‑India, China‑EU and China‑Southeast Asia trade lanes.
• Optimize shipping costs and lead times with freight forwarders, logistics partners and customs brokers.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to align procurement with technical requirements.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of procurement and supply‑chain experience, preferably in energy storage or battery industry.
• Hands‑on exposure to flow batteries, lithium‑ion batteries or related electrochemical systems.
• Solid understanding of international freight, customs procedures, Incoterms and trade compliance on the specified routes.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel to China and India for supplier visits and inspections.
