Senior Supply Chain Specialist

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to own and lead the end‑to‑end demand planning process. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, aligned forecasts that support commercial, channel and enterprise decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and lead the demand planning process, delivering consensus forecasts across planning horizons.
• Estimate future demand by analysing market drivers, customer signals, historical trends and business assumptions.
• Lead demand review and S&OP/IBP forums, aligning stakeholders on assumptions, risks and opportunities.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, bias and variability, proactively identifying risks and recommending adjustments.
• Translate commercial inputs, promotions and market intelligence into actionable demand plans for finished goods and sub‑assemblies.
• Maintain demand‑related master data, hierarchies and planning parameters in SAP.
• Track and communicate key planning metrics such as backorders and On‑Time In‑Full performance.
• Support cross‑functional projects including new product introductions, lifecycle transitions and supply network changes.
• Partner with Commercial, Sales, Finance and Program Management to ensure demand plans reflect commitments and priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting or S&OP/IBP, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP demand planning modules.
