Product Engineering Engineer - HBM Reliability

About the role

Micron is hiring an Engineer for Product Engineering, covering Media Health Reliability and heterogeneous integration for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM). The role works closely with Fab, HBM Technology Development, HBM Design, System Development and Quality/Reliability teams to qualify HBM devices and packages, validate interfaces and drive reliability improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Write and debug test programs for HBM device and package qualification, ensuring full test coverage
• Analyze reliability test results, understand root causes of issues and promote innovation and process improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end products
• Use in-house statistical tools to analyze engineering data for validation and risk assessment
• Define interface hardware specifications, validate and debug new interface boards
• Make final decisions on risk analysis and project prioritization
• Mentor colleagues, develop project management skills and improve processes and costs
• Apply AI to streamline workflows and support data-driven decisions

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong problem-solving ability focused on root cause analysis
• Team player with clear communication of technical concepts

Required skills

• Programming in Python and C++ (a must)
• Familiarity with CMOS technology, DRAM architecture and basic device physics
• Data analysis, statistics and scripting tools such as Python or JMP
• Familiarity with testing and verification approaches
